As Western Sydney International (WSI) moves toward its 2026
opening, CEO Simon Hickey is leading the creation of one of the world’s most
technologically advanced airports—designed from the ground up with
digital-first infrastructure, integrated systems and a seamless end-to-end
passenger experience. Built without legacy constraints, WSI is set to become a
benchmark for modern aviation, incorporating smart design, real-time data
capabilities and advanced operational tools from day one.
Members of the AICC are invited to hear Simon outline what
it truly means to open a “fully digitised” airport. He will explore how WSI
plans to leverage data, AI, machine learning and real-time monitoring to
optimise airport operations, enhance safety and efficiency, and deliver a
streamlined, intuitive journey for travellers and airlines alike. This is a
unique opportunity to gain insight into how Australia’s newest airport is
redefining the future of aviation.
